Missouri River Trash

I think this photo speaks for itself. It's a slough off the Missouri River at St. Charles, Missouri. We all need to remember to put trash in the proper place. Thanks.

Right on dude! With the river on the rise, we've been seeing all kinds of trash float by, tires, refrigerators, you name it! It's disgusting, I overheard a lady say "what ever happened to the no litter campaign in the 70s" well folks just don't realize that it is all rolling downstream from our back yards into our gutters, our drainage ditches, and then our streams & rivers. It's a daunting task, but we are doing something about it. We have a cleanup this weekend up in Sioux City, so that hopefully, less trash will be floating down into those massive gyres in the ocean. I would definately urge everyone to join their nearest Stream Team, and plan a litter cleanup. We literally work together to make a difference, and it feels awesome! Thanks for posting the message with that picture, it says a thousand words.

Gosh, it's so sad to see stuff like that. I have friends who've made a habit of picking up trash when they're out trail hiking, so that we can keep enjoying our rivers and lakes.
